Please tell us a little about yourself:
I started working in coffee whilst studying as a barista in 2017, and since then experienced different sides of the industry from bar to roastery to tech. I co-founded She Brews Collective as an initiative to connect and empower women in coffee, which is currently my main focus. I started competing in 2023, as I wanted to challenge myself and learn more about coffee at a very intricate level, and it’s my honour to have placed first in Austria the past 2 seasons. I continue to compete as I am so passionate about all of the beautiful connections it brings you, people you meet, and projects to get involved with that push the industry forward in exciting ways.
What are you excited to do while you visit the WCC city?
I am excited to eat loads of fries with Belgian mayo, waffles, and chocolate.
What are your interests outside of coffee?
Coffee takes up the majority of my brain space but I also do enjoy playing football - I’m part of the UN football team in Vienna, and I’m more and more trying to do more things that I’ve never done before or might usually say no to, whatever comes along my path. I generally also just love spending my free time cooking with friends, baking, going out into nature - as long as it’s with people I love, I’m happy.
Is there anyone you would like to thank or recognize, or who helped you to prepare for the WCC?
I would love to thank my coaching team Alexa Lee, Nina Verhoef, and Caroline Volk. They are powerhouse women and the trust and chemistry we have as a team is inspiring me daily to push for the best. Believing in them and staying true to who we are and our approach has made all the difference.
